Meredith Weiss is a Board Certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist, with specialty training in attachment related disorders and parenting strategies.
Meredith received her Bachelor of Arts from Stern College for Women of Yeshiva University and her MD with Distinction in Research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Meredith trained in General Adult Psychiatry at Montefiore Medical Center, did a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NewYork Presbyterian Hospital, followed by a specialization in Infant and Maternal Mental Health at Weill Cornell Medicine. From there, Meredith worked as a staff psychiatrist and Assistant Training Director at The Motherhood Center of New York.
Meredith has given numerous talks and presentations at national conferences, mental health organizations and primary schools, has published several academic papers and received training awards for her clinical work. She is an active member of AMA, APA and AACAP as well as the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) of Yeshiva University.
Currently, Meredith works in private practice, serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine, supervises psychiatry trainees, mentors undergraduates and medical students and participates in academic scholarly work.
What We Offer
The gold standard of treatment for many psychiatric disorders is a combination of psychotherapy and medication management. We have treated many patients with psychotherapy alone or a combination of psychotherapy and medication management.
We provide medication management for a wide variety of psychiatric conditions including depression, anxiety, OCD and ADHD. We will work closely with you to find the right medication plan for you or your child.
We are passionate about finding ways for parents and children to better their relationship. We offer parenting workshops for individuals and professionals and partner with therapists who specialize in parenting techniques.
We are happy to offer Telehealth services for people residing in New York and New Jersey through the HIPAA compliant platform, Doxy. In person sessions are also possible in our office in Englewood, NJ.
